Juliana Vargas (B. 1994, Colombia) received a B.F.A in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2017. Her early fascination for painting introduced Juliana to the artistic world, where she developed a strong sensitivity to color and detail. Over the years Juliana continued to explore these interests, which led her focus to the tedious and intricate side of fibers. She loves to work with her hands, whether it is drawing, beading or embroidering. Juliana explores color, form and texture through pieces that are largely inspired by memories, history and the atmosphere of her hometown, Barranquilla. Her work reflects her dedication to create pieces that are rich in craft, quality and culture.
